Crimson Trace Modular Vertical Foregrip Now with Green Laser

Shooters Resource brings you the latest from Crimson Trace - their first GREEN LASER.
"Wilsonville, OR -November 1, 2009: Crimson Trace announces an addition to the revolutionary modular vertical foregrip, the MVF-515 Green that now utilizes both a green laser and a white light in one unit. Both light sources follow the Crimson Trace mantra of instinctive activation for ease of use. Suggested retail price is $649.00.
Given the popularity and usefulness of green lasers, Crimson Trace has waited until the Crimson Trace engineering team was able to solve the two banes of green laser technology: The first one, heat, which shortens the laser diode life and second, high power draw, rendering green lasers useless in a matter of minutes. The engineers at Crimson Trace have overcome both of these detriments by utilizing the latest technologies into the new MVF-515 Green.
The MVF-515 Green brings speed, accuracy and effectiveness of heads-up sighting to those that require the tactical advantage available with this new product. The MVF-515 Green provides three tools in one. A laser, white-light, and a robust vertical foregrip in a single, modular package. The polymer grip panels are mounted onto an aircraft grade, 6061-T6 aluminum, hard-anodized tang and contain activation switches on each side that control the light and the laser independently. (The MVF-515 Green can be programmed in seconds for momentary laser or light, strobe white light, or constant-on. The white light is adjustable from 150 to 200 lumens.) Two CR-123 batteries provide over 4 hours of light illumination and over 6 hours of green laser illumination. The MVF-515 Green is anchored in place by a two-screw rail mount that fits most standard Picatinny rails. All electrical components fit into the vertical foregrip, which is ergonomically designed for comfort and built for hard use. The texture of the MVF-515 Green is aggressive and can be used with or without gloves. Batteries and electronics are kept dry and functional by a water resistant O-ring built into the grip panels of the foregrip.
All Crimson Trace laser sights have both windage and elevation adjustments for shooters to make adjustments on their own. All Crimson Trace laser sighting systems come with an accessory pack that contains batteries, hex wrenches for laser adjustments and several cleaning swabs. A limited three-year warranty is standard.
All Crimson Trace laser sighting products are made in the United States of America. Crimson Trace is the world's only manufacturer of grip-integrated laser sighting systems. Police, all branches of the U.S. Military, and responsible citizens' worldwide use patented Crimson Trace products. Crimson Trace laser sighting systems are recommended as an essential accessory by some of the world's top firearm instructors.

Firearms Industry Outlook
It's interesting to look back at the effect the Obama administration has had on the firearms industry. What folks call the black gun bubble. These are primarily AR style rifles. The bubble started around November 2008, and peaked in April 2009. By June I was seeing lots of black guns available again. The bubble didn't have any affect on Shooters Resource. Since we primarily sell Crimson Trace Lasergrips, we saw very little impact. We had a huge December which we attribute to the Christmas season. In January sales slacked off a bit, and in Feburary they picked back up and peaked in April. We attribute this cycle to the traditional discretionary income increase caused by Income Tax Returns, plus some stimulus money becoming available to everyone.
Here we are now, in the traditional Summer slack for the firearms business, preparing for the Fall increase. It's just around the corner, so it's time to start thinking about those products you want that just might get scarce again.

Customer Reviews
One of the nicest things about having a business like Shooters Resource, is that it gives me an opportunity to meet so many nice people. Sure, there's that one percent of the time when we will mess something up, (another story for the blog) but we always try to make it right if we do.
Here is a sample of the kind of unsolicited customer testimonials we get:
Pro-gun Friends,
Just to let you know. I recently bought a Crimson Trace Laser for my Taurus "The Judge" revolver.
I contacted chuck@shooters-resource.com to get a price. He wrote back a quote and while
it seemed a bit pricey, I decided to go ahead since that model is new and currently hard to get.
Almost immediately, I got another e-mail from Chuck saying he had mistakenly quoted $100
too much. He gave me the choice of either canceling the order and reordering, which would
put me at the end of the ordering queue OR he would simply credit my card with the $100.
Obviously, I chose the latter and the invoice which arrived with the Crimson Trace reflected
the adjusted price.
The point of all this is to let you know the honesty and the professional business manner of this
vendor. He is located in Baker City, OR.
Incidently, Crimson Trace is currently running a promotion whereby you get free batteries
"for life". The Trace uses two CR2032 and they are rated to last 4 hours of continuous use.
Once a year, they'll send a pair as long as you remember to ask for them.

To all at shooters-resource.com,
Thanks for an excellent product at the lowest (shipped) price available on the web. You were recommended on the forum
that I visit (mp-pistol.com) by another satisfied customer of yours. He was right. I ordered it on a Wednesday and received it
on the following Monday. Very nice product. Great source of information, lowest prices, fast shipping! Thanks for everything.

Chuck, you run your business.....Excellent!!! Thank you for your help. I have written Crimson Trace to tell them the same thing.
Thanks again, Lucian

Chuck,
Just a quick note to tell you how satisfied I am with my first experience with your business.
I ordered a model 629 on Sunday and had it on Wednesday.
I really expected to get the typical reply: "your order will be processed with 5 to 7 working days"
Obviously, Shooters-Resource isn't like all the other Internet/mail order businesses.
Shooters-Resource has the best prices and the best service, that I have found.
And yes, you may quote me.
I will be back for my future purchases of Crimson-Trace laser grips.
Thanks again,
Mory
Firepit
Am building a fire pit in the Summer to use when it starts getting colder. Found a sawmill bandsaw type blade on the old farm, hitched the tractor to it and drug it up to the RV so I could use power tools on it. We have a 7500 watt generator in the RV so I can connect most power tools to one of the RV electrical outlets.
First, I used the circular saw with a composite metal cutting blade to cut the saw blade. That went easy enough and I soon had two sections of blade I could use. I then drilled two holes in the ends of each blade. Well, lets say I tried to drill the holes, and I tried again and again. Talk about hard metal, that saw blade was tough. After ruining several drills, I was finally successful.
Dianne and I then took each blade, formed it into a 4' diameter circle and joined the ends together with bolts. We then set one circle on top of the other, and pounded away until one was inside the other about an inch. We set it into a cleared firepit circle recessed 3 inches into the earth.
Since then I've been gathering stones to set around the metal. It's going to be nice on a cold evening.
Windy
Hot! Hot! Hot!
We are in our RV in NE Oregon near Baker City for the Summer at some property we own here. I just can't believe how how it is. evenings, nights and mornings are cool because it is a high desert climate, but by noon it is the desert, just hot, hot, hot.
I know I shouldn't be whining, but darned, it just sucks the energy right out of you. And I ask for a little breeze and what do I get, wind, lots of wind, it can sometimes catch you by surprise and it's easy to lose your balance.
So I've found that if I want to do any work outside, I do it in the morning, then come in and work on the pc and stuff. When it gets hot enought, we succomb to turning on the Air conditioner, so I guess I don't really have it all that bad. :-)

RECALLS
First, we had a recall on the LG432 for the Sig. Those Lasergrips were all replaced and we have the new corrected LG-432's.
Next, we had a recall on the LG442 for the Charter Arms. It is projected that the new corrected Lasergrips will become available around the first part of September.
You can get more information on the recalls by going to CTC web site.
